Anxiety and Affirmations

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress, and in some situations, it can be beneficial as it alerts and prepares us for dangers. Anxiety disorders, however, involve excessive fear or anxiety. They are the most common mental disorders.

Affirmations can help those struggling with their anxiety. Affirmations are repeated positive statements that can be useful in managing anxiety. Many practitioners of daily affirmations report it has changed their lives for the better by easing stress ,which helps them feel calmer and more confident.

Some simple affirmations that may be helpful if you experience anxiety include:

  • “This is temporary.”
  • “I am in control.”
  • “Take this one step at a time.”
  • “I’ve made it through before, I’ll make it through again.”
  • “This does not define me.”
