A Place to Call Home
Flatrock creates comfortable living spaces for all residents to enjoy. All residents enjoy private bedrooms and bathrooms. Our homes also include state-of-the-art safety features including alarmed windows and doors, shatterproof windows, and locked medication rooms. With homes located in local family neighborhoods, Flatrock residents feel a part of the local community. Within Flatrock homes, residents have access to a range of amenities that enable them to enjoy their hobbies and truly thrive. These spaces are unique to each home and include recreation centers, fitness centers, game rooms, swimming pools, and more for residents to enjoy. Several homes also offer sensory rooms, specifically designed for those on the autism spectrum to have a safe space to regulate their emotions. Flatrock’s activity rooms are truly the hub of the home where other Flatrock residents and staff come together to create lasting memories. These rooms provide a communal space for large events such as our annual Prom and holiday gatherings.
Our residents can thrive through social interactions and build lasting relationships with fellow residents and staff members. Our programming directors work diligently to plan interactive events for our residents. From cookie decorating to various holiday-themed events and activities, our residents' social calendars are full! Our annual Halloween haunted house, Thanksgiving celebration, and Prom are some of our most popular events that residents love. Our Prom is held every spring, giving our residents a chance to dress up and have a fun night of dancing, music and fun. Throughout the year, our residents also enjoy a trip to Splash Village, visit a local pumpkin patch, and more. Through these special social events, our residents learn independence and communication skills that will last a lifetime.

We have systems set up for residents to earn money, participate in daily in-home activities, and they can even pick their own food and activity menus! Once a year, we do Prom!
