Finance Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Coordinate with CMH billing departments to determine rate breakdowns, discuss issues with authorizations, and other monthly billing issues/concerns
  • • Communicate any billing issues to CEO, COO and Program Directors
  • • Manage ADP users including creating, updating, maintaining and archiving users
  • • Oversee various projects from start to finish, including PTO, creating, and updating new policies as needed
  • • Conduct regular financial audits of each home
  • • Train staff in new policies, including software changes
  • • Collaborate with the CPA firm to ensure accurate financial numbers, retain records, and plan for continued financial success
  • • Flexibility and commitment to work the hours and times required to perform the responsibilities of the job, including evenings and weekends as may be necessary
  • • Maintain a positive, collaborative, and open relationship with counties and management
  • • Utilize all communication tools including FIN
  • • Maintain and advocate for all Flatrock residents’ rights
  • • Complete any additional task assigned by CEO, COO and Program Directors
  • • Oversee and lead the Finance department
  • • Review AR/AP aging reports as part of the month end and work with accounting support staff to resolve issues
  • • Supporting month-end and year-end closing
  • • Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
  • • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • • Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly reports for government agencies
  • • Assist with annual audits
  • • Complete quarterly monthly billing audit
  • • Communicate any Finance issues unable to be resolved to the Director
  • • Initiate wire transfers for payroll and other expenses when requested
  • • Audit time for finance department employees to ensure accuracy
  • • Oversee various finance projects from start to finish
  • • Refrain from disclosing Confidential Information, including but not limited to information relating to rates and/or billing and other obligations memorialized in Confidentiality and HIPAA Privacy Agreement attached
  • • Attend all upper management events, conferences, seminars, and retreats to support leadership development, collaboration, and team bonding.
  • • Provide oversight and upper management mentorship to a designated group of homes, fostering leadership development and operational excellence.
  • • Visit the assigned group of homes weekly to review operations, monitor performance, and provide guidance to floor staff and the support team.
  • • Attend (1) daily support meeting DSM meeting per week to provide guidance, support, and oversight.
  • • Deliver documented coaching and feedback (to support staff of assigned group of homes) as needed to address performance concerns and support continuous improvement.
  • • Review the assigned home support group Microsoft Teams thread daily to ensure:
    • ◦ Support staff have delegated cleaning tasks to floor staff.
    • ◦ Managers have completed training time on the floor.
    • ◦ DSM postings are submitted in a timely manner.
    • ◦ Completion of hands-on eyes on HOEO.
    • ◦ Support staff are actively interacting with floor staff within the thread.
  • • Complete and post a daily impact statement in the Microsoft Teams Upper Management thread to summarize oversight, progress, and key updates.
  • • Conduct quarterly guardian calls to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain effective communication with guardians.

Qualifications:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (Preferred)
  • • Understanding of general accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • • Strong written and communication skills
  • • Works well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • • Great time management skills
