IT Operations Manager
Position Summary:
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all technology operations across the organization. This role provides strategic leadership, ensures system reliability and security, and manages day-to-day IT operations. The IT Manager will lead internal IT staff, manage vendors, and ensure alignment between technology and business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- • Lead and manage the organization’s IT operations and strategy
- • Oversee Microsoft 365 environment, including security, access, and configuration
- • Manage IT staff, including support personnel and future hires
- • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards
- • Ensure cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, and monitoring
- • Manage vendor relationships (internet, phone systems, software providers)
- • Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes and system access controls
- • Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and reliability
- • Manage IT budget, forecasting, and cost optimization
- • Lead IT projects and system improvements
- • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
- • Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and configurations
- • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
- • Communicate IT performance and initiatives to executive leadership
- • Maintain a positive, service-oriented relationship with all staff
- • Support organizational mission and operational needs
Core Systems focus:
- • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID)
- • Identity and access management
- • Endpoint/device management
- • Security tools and monitoring systems
- • Vendor-managed infrastructure (network, internet, etc.)
Qualifications:
- • 5+ years of experience in IT operations or systems administration
- • 2+ years in a leadership or senior-level role
- • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security
- • Experience managing vendors and IT projects
- • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff
Preferred:
- • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
- • Familiarity with endpoint management and security tools
- • Experience building or scaling IT operations
Education:
- • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience
